YG Entertainment Delays Big Bang Comeback

Will Big Bang's comeback affect iKON and WINNER?

Three years since YG Entertainment group Big Bang last released an album, Big Bang announced plans to release a March album. On March 20, YG Entertainment confirmed that Big Bang's album has been delayed, but will be released no later than April.

According to SBS PopAsia, YG Entertainment announced that Big Bang's comeback has been postponed, leading to a postponement of all YG Entertainment schedules.
YG Entertainment had previously announced that Big Bang would comeback in March to kick off YG Entertainment's 2015 promotional cycle, and then the company would debut its newest idol group, iKON.
"We scheduled BIGBANG's concerts from April 24th to 26th in advance. Since making their debut, they have been holding concerts with their album release so we reserve the venues in advance," said a YG Entertainment representative.
However, an album release date has not been announced despite the concert dates.

Big Bang's album has been pushed off due to the group's determiniation to produce a better album. In February, Yang had described the album as the "highlight" of Big Bang's career, raising expectations.
"Listening to their songs, I thought, this is why Big Bang is Big Bang, the eldest and best artist of YG," said Yang. "Not only the title song, but also every other song is great. This album is something that fans have long been waiting for. Of course, I have had high expectations for the album. Now, I'm quite satisfied with the outcome. I even feel like paying tribute to and respecting Big Bang as an artist."
