On July 31, JYP Entertainment said, "Hwang Chansung will appear in 'I Wanna Hold Your Hand' as an idol group star who was very popular in the past."
The movie is being jointly produced by JYP Pictures and China East Entertainment Group.
Chansung's role as G.O is a character who falls into a lot of trouble in his career but is a genius songwriter as well as a prideful artist.
The movie, "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" will release in China toward the end of 2014.
